Rosé reveals inspiration behind 'APT' and makes traditional Korean dishes in Vogue video

On the 20th, YouTube channel Vogue released a video titled "Rosé Cooks Kimchi Fried Rice Dinner"

In the video, Rosé cheerfully sings her new song 'APT' while showcasing her vibrant personality. She grabbed attention by sharing, "APT was inspired by a Korean drinking game I often play with my friends." She then explained, "Today, I’m going to make kimchi fried rice and 'somaek'," referring to the combination of foods she enjoys while playing the drinking game inspired by APT.

Rosé explained the meaning of 'somaek', a combination of soju and beer, saying, "It’s about adding a bit more alcohol to the beer." She continued by introducing a side dish she enjoys with somaek—kimchi fried rice paired with a spicy mayo sauce made with Cheongyang peppers. 

Fans were delighted by Rosé's unfiltered introduction of Korean cuisine, with some commenting, "She's a true K-pop star" and "Thank you so much."

Meanwhile, Rosé made a record-breaking debut as a solo artist with her single 'On The Ground' from her 2021 solo album 'R', debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart. She also set new records as a K-pop female solo artist, including her ranking on the Billboard HOT 100.
